While the European Union rushes to support the "de facto authority" government in Damascus, and while U.S. President Donald Trump continues to court and promote Ahmad al-Sharaa, U.S. Ambassador Robert boasts of his country's partnership with Britain in "rebranding" and polishing al-Jolani's image.
Meanwhile, al-Sharaa continues to manipulate and mock the West — describing Americans in a documented video as "stupid" — while quietly advancing his covert project to build an al-Qaeda state in Syria: a state that will serve as a dagger in the side of its neighbors and a launchpad for jihadist operations aimed at Europe.
Al-Sharaa has pledged — on paper and in the media — that "Syria will not be a source of threat to its neighbors," that he will protect all components of the Syrian people, expel foreign fighters, and make Syria "for all Syrians."
But reality contradicts these claims. Crimes against minorities continue unabated, and threats are escalating. As documented in recent reports, Christians in Tartus have received an explicit ultimatum: "Pay the jizya or convert to Islam."
Al-Sharaa is laughing at the world. He is building and arming his forces using others' funds, and will seize the lifting of sanctions to reshape what he calls the "Army of the Caliphate" — which, according to his own statements, will one day "liberate Jerusalem."
We are not telling stories. We are presenting documented facts. The most recent: al-Sharaa's decision to formally incorporate the into within the structure of the so-called "New Syrian Army" — a move that signals the intention to absorb all foreign fighters under new labels and facades.
