What was broadcast was not a media debate or an "alternative opinion" — it was an open platform for incitement to murder and sectarian revenge.
A man called Shizar, falsely presented as a "journalist" and representative of the so-called "Voice of Sunni Muslims" and the ruling de facto authority in Syria, delivered a hateful, bloodthirsty, and retaliatory speech that brazenly justified crimes and violations committed against Syrian minorities — foremost among them Alawites, as well as Druze and Kurds.
He went further by explicitly and publicly calling for the continued killing of Alawites, legitimizing their forced displacement and mass elimination, and branding all of them without exception as "remnants of the old regime."
This is not a political opinion. This is not free speech. It is a direct call for genocide, an explicit incitement to sectarian violence, and a justification for killing based on identity and religious affiliation — a moral and legal crime by any standard.
Most alarming is that this incitement came from a refugee residing in Germany — a country of law and liberties — who benefits from the protection afforded by European democracies, while using that very protection to incite mass killing in his country of origin. This brazen contradiction and moral hypocrisy cannot be met with silence.
The Western Syria Alliance holds accountable:
We place this statement before the relevant German authorities, the European Union, and all bodies concerned with combating hate speech and extremism, demanding immediate and decisive action — because tolerating this incitement means allowing European and Arab screens to become platforms for calling for mass murder.
We state this clearly:
Whoever justifies the killing of Alawites on air today, justifies the killing of any minority tomorrow. Whoever stays silent about this speech is complicit in it.
